Weddings, occasions and everyday pieces.
‘Jewellery with soul, as unique as the life it honours.’
Mary Ellen was born from loss — from losing my own dad.
When I was faced with the idea of sending his ashes away to a large company, something about it didn’t sit right with me. It felt impersonal. Cold. I didn’t want his memory handled anonymously or processed through a system. I wanted something meaningful. Something created with care, compassion, and intention.
I realised I wasn’t alone in feeling that way.
So many of us want to know who is making something so precious. Where it is going. How it is being handled. We want to feel safe. We want to feel understood. We want someone who shares our values — love, integrity, individuality — someone creative, but also human. Someone who feels more like a friend than a factory.
Mary Ellen was created to be that safe pair of hands.
Every piece is made with deep respect, personal connection, and complete transparency. I understand the weight of what you are entrusting me with, because I have stood where you are standing.
As Mary Ellen grew, weddings became a natural extension of my work. I was fortunate to have my dad with me on my wedding day — and I know not everyone has that privilege. Incorporating a loved one into your wedding jewellery allows their presence to be felt in a quiet, beautiful way — whether for brides, grooms, or the wedding party.
But at its heart, Mary Ellen remains rooted in everyday connection. In honouring grief. In creating tangible pieces that hold love, not just ashes.
When you choose Mary Ellen, you know where your ashes are. You know who is creating your piece. And you know it is being handled with the same care I would give my own family.
This is jewellery made with trust. With intention. With heart.

How does the booking system process work?
To ensure I can give each bride and wedding party the time and care they deserve, I work on a booking-style system. This allows me to manage my schedule consistently throughout the year and focus fully on your bespoke design.
How do I get started?
If you feel i'm the right person for you, the first step is to book a discovery call. This is usually held via Zoom, but alternative options can be arranged.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 100 GBP non-refundable deposit is required to secure your design slot to cover my time and preparation. This deposit will be deducted from your final balance and reflected in the overall cost of your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
What happens after I pay the deposit?
Once your deposit is paid, I'll begin working on designs and send over for review.
Can changes be made to the design?
Absolutley. We can ask as many questions as needed and make tweaks to ensure your design is perfect for you. This includes adjusting details to complement:
Your dress
Your personal style
Your wedding theme
Whether it's bridal jewellery, cufflinks, bouquet charms, or a another meaningful piece, the goal is to create something truly special.
How do I approve the final design?
Once you're completely happy with the design, i'll send everything over via email for final approval.
What happens after the design is approved?
You'll receive:
A contract agreement
Details of your payment plan
A clear outline of the next steps
I'll guide you throughout the process so you know exactly what to expect from start to finish.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans can be arranged and will be discussed once your design is finalised.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding seasons, to ensure availability and plenty of time for the design process.
