Handmade bespoke wedding, memorial and occasion jewellery.
‘Jewellery with soul, as unique as the life it honours.’
Welcome to Mary Ellen.
Mary Ellen was born from a simple belief: the people we love continue to shape our lives long after they are gone.
For many, some of life’s most meaningful moments are touched by both joy and loss. A wedding day. A milestone birthday. An anniversary. A new chapter. Moments when someone special should have been there.
After losing my own dad, I found myself understanding that feeling more deeply. When I was faced with the idea of sending his ashes away to a large company, something about it didn’t sit right with me. It felt impersonal. I wanted something more meaningful. Something created with care, compassion and intention.
That experience became the foundation of Mary Ellen.
Today, I create bespoke jewellery that allows people to carry love, memory and connection through weddings, celebrations and everyday life. Whether it is a bride wanting to feel her dad beside her as she walks down the aisle, a groom carrying the memory of his mum, or a piece created simply to keep someone close each day, every design is as individual as the story behind it.
I understand the weight of what you are entrusting me with because I have stood where you are standing.
Every piece is handmade in Cornwall and created with deep respect, personal connection and complete transparency. You will always know who is creating your jewellery, where your ashes are, and how they are being cared for throughout the process.
Mary Ellen was created to be a safe pair of hands. A place where remembrance is handled gently, where stories are honoured, and where jewellery becomes more than something you wear.
This is jewellery made with trust.
With intention.
With heart.
Love,
Mary x

Gentle guidance, ideas and stories to support you, whether you're remembering someone everyday or including them on your wedding.

How do I get started?
Pop me over a message and we can arrange to speak in whichever way feels most comfortable for you.
From there, I’ll send you a simple form so we can begin exploring what you’re looking for and the story behind your piece.
Is a deposit required?
Yes — to secure your wedding booking and begin the design process, a deposit is required.
Typically, I ask for a 50% deposit initially, however flexible payment plans are available and can be tailored around your wedding date to help spread the cost in a way that works for you.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely. Payment plans can be arranged monthly or split into manageable instalments leading up to your wedding day.
I always try to make the process feel as stress-free and flexible as possible.
What happens after I pay my deposit?
Once your design has been agreed and your deposit has been paid, I’ll begin sourcing the materials for your piece and keep you updated throughout the process.
At this stage, we’ll also confirm your payment plan and timeline.
Can I change the design?
Of course. As long as we’re not too far into the making process, small changes and refinements can usually be made to ensure your piece feels perfect for you.
Whether it’s details to complement your dress, wedding theme, personal style, or sentimental inclusions, every piece is created to feel deeply personal and meaningful.
This may include bridal jewellery, cufflinks, bouquet charms, memorial jewellery, breastmilk jewellery, or other bespoke keepsakes for your day.
How do I approve the final design?
Once you’re completely happy with the design, I’ll send everything over via email for your final approval before creation begins.
What happens once the design is approved?
You’ll receive:
your contract agreement
your payment plan details
a clear outline of the next steps
and information about any materials or inclusions needed for your piece
Your agreed deposit will also be due at this stage.
What happens next?
Where needed, I’ll send out anything required for your piece, such as:
a ring sizer
inclusion bags for ashes, hair, or other sentimental materials
or any additional guidance to help make the process simple and comfortable for you
I’ll remain in touch throughout the creation process so you always know how your piece is progressing.
How far in advance should I book?
I always recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak wedding seasons.
This gives us plenty of time to design, create, and make any refinements needed before your big day, while also ensuring availability within my schedule.
Where can I see reviews and previous work?
Please feel free to visit my social media pages linked at the top of the website, where you’ll find reviews, previous bespoke pieces, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the process.
I look forward to hearing from you.
